The Features and Functions of the Genpart 6000 Control Panel

The Genpart 6000 control panel is a microprocessor-based device that controls and monitors your diesel generator set. The Genpart 6000 control panel has a LCD display that shows various parameters and status indicators of your generator set. The Genpart 6000 control panel also has a keypad that allows you to enter commands and settings for your generator set.

The Genpart 6000 control panel has four main functions:

  • Measurement: The Genpart 6000 control panel measures various electrical and mechanical parameters of your generator set, such as voltage, frequency, current, power, speed, temperature, oil pressure, etc. The Genpart 6000 control panel also calculates the total running hours, total kWh, total kVAh, etc. of your generator set.

  • Protection: The Genpart 6000 control panel provides protection for your generator set against various faults or failures, such as over/under voltage, over/under frequency, over/under speed, over/under load, over/under temperature, low oil pressure, high water temperature, etc. The Genpart 6000 control panel also provides protection for your load against reverse power, phase sequence error, phase loss, etc.

  • Alarm: The Genpart 6000 control panel alerts you of any faults or failures that occur in your generator set by displaying an alarm code on the LCD display and activating an audible buzzer. The Genpart 6000 control panel also records the alarm history and the corresponding parameters for future reference.

  • Control: The Genpart 6000 control panel allows you to control various aspects of your generator set, such as start/stop, reset, test, manual/auto mode, voltage/frequency adjustment, etc. The Genpart 6000 control panel also allows you to configure various settings for your generator set, such as nominal voltage/frequency, protection thresholds, alarm delays, etc.

The Genpart 6000 control panel has four main modes of operation:

  • Manual mode: In this mode, you can manually start and stop your generator set by pressing the START/STOP buttons on the keypad. You can also manually adjust the voltage and frequency of your generator set by pressing the VOLT/FREQ buttons on the keypad.

  • Auto mode: In this mode, your generator set will automatically start and stop according to the signals from an external device or switch (such as an ATS or a remote start/stop switch). You can also enable or disable the auto mode by pressing the AUTO/MAN button on the keypad.

  • Test mode: In this mode, you can test the functionality of your generator set by simulating various faults or failures (such as over/under voltage/frequency/speed/load/temperature/oil pressure/water temperature) and checking the response of the Genpart 6000 control panel (such as alarm code/display/buzzer/protection action). You can enter or exit the test mode by pressing the TEST button on the keypad.
