Where To Buy Moto G5
So it goes with the Moto G5 Plus, the latest variant to hit the US. It's up for pre-order on Friday, with a full release coming on March 31. Once again, it meticulously finds the point where good-but-not-great hardware can become strong value at the right price.
That prowess was reflected in the G5 Plus' numbers on Geekbench 4, a benchmark that measures overall system performance. The G5 Plus scored 3,746, versus 3,018 for the ZTE Blade V8 Pro (which also has a Snapdragon 625), and 3,366 for the Kirin 655-powered Honor 6X. The smartphone average lies somewhere in between, at 3,299.
I know this is old, but anyone who is looking to take pictures on a budget AND who is ok with rooting etc, there is a great thread on xda about removing motorola's excessive sharpening and noise cancellation and installing the gcam app which uses the same algorithms as the pixel 2 to make REALLY nice photos.
when Lenovo lauched Moto G4 plus, very soon DXOMark score was being published, with very good results, 84. Id like to see the score for the new moto G5 plus, which has better sensor and F1.7. Ive checked some videos at youtube, in brazilian portuguese, and it looks like its a lot better, but an extensive technical examination would be much better. In BR moto G5 plus at the stores for around US$400 (tax included)
This will probably be my next phone.I have the G3 and It's a good cameraphone, I especially like the motorola camera app with the easy exposure compensation, and quickstarting the camera via handmotion or double tap on the powerbutton.
yes it's good. i run cyanogen, getting ready for lineage. unfortunately underpowered phone but good camera. i expected more megapixels for more detail. i was happy to switch from 8mp galaxy s3 to 13mp moto g3. Shoot mostly in HDR.
the table thats linked includes sensors down to 25 sqmm like the moto G5 , but only the cheapest p&s used those , they were the smallest sensor used by the camera industry, but 1\1.7 once were enthusiast sensors.smaller apple sensors are not camera grade high marks for the sanity of retaining a headphone jack currently used by 99 % of the human race,& the luxury of a sd slot almost as widespread.
Family moments are precious and sometimes you want to capture that time spent with loved ones or friends in better quality than your phone can manage. We've selected a group of cameras that are easy to keep with you, and that can adapt to take photos wherever and whenever something memorable happens.
Moto G5 (stylized as moto g5) is a series of Android smartphones developed by Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Lenovo. It is the fifth generation of the Moto G family. Announced as successors to the Moto G4, they were first released in March 2017 in several markets including India and Europe.[6] The original variants are the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, the latter also being available as an Amazon Prime version in the United States.[7] The mid-cycle updates, the Moto G5s and Moto G5s Plus, were released in August 2017.[8]
Even at just $300, Lenovo brought some innovation to the Moto G5 Plus that we have yet to see on other Android phones. I am not a fan of the front-facing fingerprint scanner on the Moto Z line that does not act as a home button. With the G5 Plus, you will find the home button does perform as a fast fingerprint scanner and home button. Even better, there is an available Moto Actions setting where you can use the fingerprint sensor for navigation. Simply enable it and then swipe left to go back and swipe right to view recent apps. My productivity has improved significantly with this one button navigation feature and I would love to see this on other devices.
At first glance, the Moto E4 Plus wouldn't seem to give the more-expensive Moto G5 Plus a run for its money, but that's what's so interesting about this phone: it does. They look alike and even share the same metal-and-plastic materials (though the G5 uses more metal overall), but where the
